Shanghai Suzy
Whipped Matte Essentials
29 April 2019
After tons of requests I finally have been able to take photos of the Shanghai Suzy essential ranges. First up are the ‘Whipped Mattes’. Check my next blog post for the ‘Satin Luxe’ range.
Of course if you want to buy one of these lippies, you can just come to my studio and try them. Some clients wanted to look at the colours online though and found it hard to judge the colours on Shanghai Suzy’s website as the images are very creative with florals around them – that inspired me to take these photos so you can see how they look on me (and if you are wondering, yes it’s weird to look at dozens of photos of your own mouth, zoom right in on them, try to look objectively and edit them!).
Disclaimer: these images have been edited to help putting focus on the lip colour. I have not edited the actual lips in these images in any way, so what you see on the lips is exactly what it looked like when I was wearing these lipsticks.
Shanghai Suzy lipsticks are Australian-made, cruelty-free, vegan and amazing quality, especially considering they only cost $19.95!
The ‘Whipped Matte’ formula is very pigmented. It’s infused with shea butter extract and jojoba seed oil, so they won’t feel dry on your lips like some matte lipsticks can do.
These lipsticks contain as many natural ingredients as possible. Because they are vegan, they do contain some synthetic alternatives to animal products.
Ingredients of the Whipped Matte lipsticks:
